ENERGY STORAGE

Ultracapacitors have a very high energy density and cycling capability, unlike batteries. They are used in applications where high power cycling takes place (for example hybrid vehicles) and/or  reliability is essential (for example, to feather the blades of wind turbines).

Hybrid Ultracapacitors have an even higher energy density due to the combination of a battery electrode inside the same cell as the Ultracapacitor.
